Skate-Skills Morawa 2022

If you have yet to step on a board, spin a wheel or push along the concrete then this is the course for you. The focus of this clinic is for those curious about skateboarding, the environment and the people, we encourage those who may not ordinarily take the leap, to take it!

We cover the basics of getting you on the board, pushing, and negotiating safely around skate environments. If you have a board bring it along, otherwise you are more than welcome to use the equipment provided.

The course is designed to develop the skills needed to become an adapt skateboarder in any environment.

Starting at 5:00pm on Thursday the 3rd February, Skate-Skills will run for four weeks of Thursdays finishing on the 24th February.

EVENT & MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION FORM FY 2021-2022 INJURY WAIVER WELCOME to Infinity Skate. Grassroots events delivered to you by the Geraldton skateboarding community. By reading, filling in, and signing this form below you are registering yourself or the participant you are signing in to be eligible to participate in any Infinity Skate event up until 30th June 2022. For the purpose of this declaration, ‘IS’ means and includes Infinity Skate, its members and their respective directors, officers, members, servants, program partners and/or agents. WARNING: Skateboarding activities like all sports can be physically demanding and can be inherently dangerous and serious accidents can and do happen which may result in me (the participant) being injured. I agree that I am participating at my own risk and that the use of a helmet can reduce the risk of serious head injury. I declare that I have voluntarily read and understand this warning and accept and assume the inherent risks in skateboarding activities. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY: Except to the extent of the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) or other legislation applies, and cannot by contract be excluded, I agree that as a term of completing this form and being eligible to participate in any IS event that I absolve IS and its partners from all liability arising from injury or damages however caused (whether fatal of otherwise) arising out of my membership and/or participation in any IS authorized and recognised activity in any way. RELEASE: I unconditionally agree to release and forever discharge the event organisers (including IS, it’s officers, employees, contractors, agents and affiliates), officials, program partners, sponsors and any affiliated group, from liability, loss, damage or personal injury arising from or in connection with my IS membership and/or participating in any IS authorised and/or IS recognised activity and/or official IS event. By reading, filling in and signing this official IS Event & Membership form I accept that Skateboarding can be dangerous and has risk of injury. I acknowledge unconditionally that I am participating at all times at my own risk for the duration of the current calendar year. PUBLIC EVENT AND PHOTOS/VIDEOS TAKEN: By signing this form as a participant, or as a parent or guardian signing in a participant under 18 I acknowledge that at all IS events photos/videos will be taken of the event and of the participants to be used for future promotional and reporting purposes. I acknowledge and consent to electronic images/videos being taken of me as the participant or of the participant I am signing in while participating in all IS events. I acknowledge and agree that such electronic images/videos are owned by IS and that IS and its program partners may use the photographs/videos for promotional and other purposes without my further consent. I agree that my details can be shared with the local council that runs these events in partnership with IS for reporting purposes. After this form is processed the participant is eligible to participate in any appropriate IS event for the full FY2021 unless IS staff decide otherwise. PLEASE NOTE: Helmets are mandatory for ages 16 & Under participating in any actual IS beginner clinics or competition heats. Helmets are always recommended but IS is NOT responsible for enforcing helmets when participants are not in their official beginner clinics or competition heats. Between “heats” wearing a helmet is the responsibility of the individual person using the skatepark at their own risk as per any other day of unsupervised skatepark use. Games of SKATE are a low impact technical mini-competition performed on flat ground and do not require helmets to be worn.
